2023 Audi RS 7 Prices, Reviews, and Pictures And Specs

The 2023 Audi RS 7 is Audi’s top-of-the-line high-performance sedan. It sits at the top of the RS range, along with the RS 6 wagon and the RS e-Tron GT. The RS 7’s best feature is that it can give you fun and excitement when you want them, unity and comfort when you don’t, and a lot of use with its large cargo space. When you put all of that in a super sedan with a very attractive body, it’s hard to ignore.

The RS 7 won’t change much for 2023, which, from our point of view, is a good thing. Under the hood is a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine that makes 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. In our tests, the sedan went from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds. Audi says it will cruise up to a top speed of 190 miles per hour, which we don’t doubt.

Audi’s Dynamic Ride Control suspension and the RS Design kit, which were added as extras for 2023, will also be kept. Since there is only one trim level for the RS 7, these options do give it a small amount of customization. If you like driving more, you might like the optional suspension, but even the standard RS 7 is a great car for driving. If you’re looking at the BMW M5 or Porsche Panamera GTS, make sure you test-drive the RS 7 before you buy. Check out the Expert Rating section below to see how our testing team rated the RS 7.

Overview

The 2023 Audi RS7 looks like a coupe and has a sloping roof, but it is also practical because it has a rear hatchback and a large trunk. The RS 7’s sleek shape makes it hard to get to the second row, and its “look at me” design cuts into the headroom in the back. The standard drivetrain is a 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 engine with 335 horsepower, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive. If you want straight-line speed and don’t mind paying for it, the S7 has a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V-6 with 444 hp, and the RS 7 has a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 with 591 hp that makes a lot of noise.

The RS 7 will be the same in 2023 as it has been since it came out in 2020. We can tell you that’s not a bad thing. The RS 7 has a 4.0-liter V8 engine that is twin-turbocharged and makes 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. In our tests, it went from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds, and Audi says it will cruise along at a top speed of 190 mph, which is set by electronics. We don’t doubt it.

Audi’s Dynamic Ride Control suspension and the RS Design kit, which were added as extras for 2023, will also be kept. Since there is only one trim level for the RS 7, these options do give it a small amount of customization. If you like driving more than most people, you might like the optional suspension, but even the standard RS 7 is a good car for driving. If you’re looking at the BMW M5 or Porsche Panamera GTS, make sure to take the RS 7 for a test drive before you buy.

The adaptive cruise control with lane departure steering assist is now standard. The plug-in hybrid version has been taken out of the lineup, and remote park assist has been added to the top Prestige trim level. The S7 gets a new base trim level called Premium, and some of the option packages are changed.

2023 Audi Rs 7 Interior

How does the inside look? The new RS 7 shows how much Audi cares about technology that works well together. The cockpit is low and has tight leather, precise stitching, and one of the most technologically advanced interiors in the business. Since the RS 7 is a bigger luxury car, it has plenty of room for four adults. Only taller people in the back might want a little more headroom.

Strangely, the steering wheel on the RS 7 is just too big. In other Audi cars, the steering wheels have a flat bottom, but the one in the RS 7 feels huge and either blocks part of the instrument panel or is just too high when adjusted to make the display visible. Audi’s fully digital and re-configurable Virtual Cockpit, which is in the RS 7, can get cluttered with too much information, some of which may not seem important. We did best when we kept things simple. To get what you want from the climate control screen, you have to look at it longer and look at it more often.

As the Audi RS6’s replacement, the all-new Audi RS7 is expected to carry on the tradition of being one of the fastest and most luxurious sports cars on the market. Audi gave the RS7 a more aggressive look on the outside, which is sure to make people take notice. The front has a big grille with “RS7” written on it, and the sides have big air intakes and 20-inch alloy wheels. The back of the car has a spoiler and four exhaust pipes. Overall, the new RS7 is a powerful and stylish car that turns heads.

Fuel Economy

How well does it use fuel? The EPA says that the RS 7 gets 17 mpg in the city and highway. If you drive it like you mean it, you can expect even less. The RS 7 got a respectable 19.6 mpg on our 115-mile mixed-driving test route. Due to the pandemic, there wasn’t much traffic, but that’s still a good sign that the RS 7 can meet its fuel economy estimates if the driver is careful.

Technology

The system is hard to get used to, but it is easy to change and responds quickly to commands. The only thing we really don’t like is that when the screens are off, they look dirty and full of fingerprints.

The standard sound system is more than good enough, but it’s not quite as good as the sound systems in other German luxury cars. There is an optional Bang & Olufsen system that might be better than its competitors. Apple CarPlay that works without wires is a nice feature, but Android users will have to make do with Bluetooth, which connects quickly. Standard and much appreciated are cameras that let you see all around you and parking sensors that are very accurate. We didn’t have any problems with the adaptive cruise control and lane keeping systems, except that they aren’t included in this price range.

Performance

Performance

No matter what kind of car you’re driving, it’s fast to go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds. But the fact that it was done in the 4,800-pound RS 7 makes it even more amazing. With its all-wheel-drive system, the RS 7 can use all of its 591 horsepower from a stop. This makes its huge performance even more useful. And because it has a wide range of power, the RS 7 is also very easy to drive in everyday traffic. There is a lot of passing power available.

The RS 7’s handling is just as great as how fast it goes. It got 1.0 g on our skid pad and will probably leave most sports cars in the dust on real roads. Carbon-ceramic brakes were an option on our test car. They brought it to a stop from 60 mph in just 107 feet, and they didn’t wear out even after a lot of fast driving. The RS 7 is nothing short of amazing in what it can do.

Competitor

Audi RS 7 vs. Audi RS 6

2023 Audi RS 72023 Audi RS 6

If the RS 7’s sleek hatchback design isn’t practical enough for you, you might want to think about the RS 6 waggon. It drives just as well as the RS 7, but as a station waggon, it has even more space for cargo. And another thing that comes with that waggon body style is that car fans all over the world give it praise and thumbs up all the time.

Audi RS 7 vs. Porsche Panamera

Porsche Panamera 20232023 Audi RS7

The front of the Porsche Panamera looks like a 911, while the back looks like a hatchback and is more serious. It has a high level of refinement (unlike a mullet), a lot of fun to drive, and, because it’s a hatchback, it’s also pretty practical. But it costs a lot more than the Audi and doesn’t have as much space inside or for carrying things as the RS 7.

Conclusion

Even with its base powertrain, the Audi A7 is quick, easy to move around in, and comfortable. The fuel economy is good, and for a mid-size luxury sedan, the wide-opening rear hatch gives you access to a lot of cargo space. It’s not ideal, though: Tall adults don’t have much headroom in the back, and it’s hard to see out of the sides and back. It’s also expensive, which is even more true when you look at the S7 and RS 7 models.
