The new supercar from Aston Martin Valhalla is a radical, mid-engined rival to the Ferrari SF90 Stradale. It has a hybridised V8, looks like a concept car, and has a chassis set up like Formula 1 cars.
The Valhalla is the first plug-in hybrid model from the Gaydon company. The company says that the Valhalla “heralds a new definition of Aston Martin.” It is also an important part of his bold plan to change the brand, which he calls “Project Horizon.”
Under the plan, Aston will release “more than 10 cars” by 2024, including the Valhalla, the closely related but less powerful Vanquish supercar, and the very exclusive V12-powered Valkyrie hypercar.
Aston’s new factory-backed F1 team is said to have had a big impact on the Valhalla’s two-year journey from the RB-003 Geneva concept to production. The team’s lessons are said to have affected almost every part of the car.

The 2024 Aston Martin Valhalla will be a mid-engine hypercar with a hybrid drivetrain, like the Ferrari SF90.
The outside of the Aston has a larger version of the company’s grille, a smooth body, and a carbon-fiber engine cover. The central tub of the Valhalla is also made of carbon fibre, and its dihedral doors will add to its unique look.
The power comes from a Mercedes-AMG twin-turbo V-8 engine and a plug-in hybrid system. Together, they make 937 horsepower. Aston says the top speed will be 217 mph and that it will take 2.5 seconds to go from 0 to 62 mph. The 2022 Valhalla will also have an EV mode, though the all-electric range will be very short.
What’s Different in 2024?
Tobias Moer, the former head of Mercedes-AMG, is now the new CEO of Aston Martin. This means that the Valhalla will be very different from the version that was teased as the 003 and was briefly called the AM-RB 003.
Even though there is still a lot we don’t know, we do know that the real version will have an AMG engine and a six-digit price instead of a seven-digit price. Also, customers won’t start getting it until the second half of 2023. This makes it likely a 2024 model.
Even though the Valkyrie was a big influence on the Valhalla in many ways, like with its aerodynamically improved bodywork and carbonfibre structure, the Valhalla is more focused on the road.
For one thing, the Valhalla has wingmirrors, which were taken off the Valkyrie. It also looks more elegant, clean, and high-class than the Valkyrie. Marek Reichman, Aston Martin’s Chief Creative Officer, says that the Valhalla is a “more mature, fully resolved piece of design.”
But that doesn’t mean it’s done with all drama. The Valhalla has a dramatic swooping roofline and a long back. It also has a wraparound version of the brand’s signature grille, which sits below large matrix LED headlights.
At 150 mph, the active front splitter and rear wing, which were both inspired by the Valkyrie, work together to create 600 kg of downforce.
In the EV driving mode, the Valhalla sends all of the power from the battery to the front axle. In normal driving, the power goes to both the front and back axles.
For the best performance, you can change the driving mode so that all of the power from the battery goes to the back axle.
Aston Martin has always put safety first, and the Valhalla is no different. After all, if you have this much power in your hands, you need safety features to match.
A custom-made carbon fibre tub has a lightweight but strong and rigid structure for the best protection, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tyres on the wheels (20″ in front and 21″ in back) give the car better grip. The Valhalla should also have the most up-to-date driver assistance systems.

Powerful AND Capable
As a plug-in hybrid, the all-new 2023 Aston Martin Valhalla has not one but three engines. It has a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 engine that is mounted in the middle of the back of the car so that the weight is spread out well.
It makes 750 PS, which is about 737 HP, on its own. The gas-powered engine is paired with two electric motors powered by a 150kW/400V battery hybrid system. This gives the car an extra 204 PS, or about 200 HP, for a total of 937 HP. When everything is working together, this hypercar can go from 0 to 65 MPH in 2.5 seconds.
The all-new 2023 Aston Martin Valhalla has an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that powers the back wheels. An electric motor powers the front wheels, making this a unique and amazing hypercar to drive.

The Valhalla is powered by a PHEV powertrain made up of a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine and a 150kW battery hybrid system with two electric motors, one on the front axle and one on the back.

All of this power is sent to the wheels by a dual-clutch gearbox with eight speeds and an electronic limited slip differential. The chassis and electronics are inspired by Formula One.
