2023 Honda Rebel 300 Price Specs Features And Photos

The Honda Rebel 300 is probably the best beginner cruiser you can get. This bike is an important part of Honda’s small-displacement lineup. It has a reliable and mild-mannered engine, a low seat that gives you confidence, and stable, predictable handling that helps new riders focus on having fun. Honda did an excellent job with this one.

There are a lot of small bikes made in Japan, but the Honda Rebel 300 is the only true sub-400cc cruiser in Honda’s 2023 lineup. A small, stylish cruiser motorbike with a low profile and a blacked-out, minimalist design that’s great for riding in cities and commuting.

Overview

Since the mid-1980s, when it came out as a cheap and happy 234cc twin, the Honda Rebel has been the standard for first-time cruiser riders.

In 2017, Honda made the little cruiser into the modern Rebel 300 we see today. They added a modern four-bulb LED headlight, a now-iconic peanut tank, and a solo saddle, giving the bike the look of a larger cruiser in a small-displacement package.

Most importantly, this bike has a low seat height and a 286cc engine that makes even the most nervous new riders feel comfortable. And that’s how they get you. Once a Rebel rider is hooked, Honda cleverly gets them to try the Rebel 500 and Rebel 1100 so they can get more of what they already like.

Exterior And Design

It has a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled 286cc engine that runs smoothly and reliably. It also has a six-speed transmission with a light clutch that makes shifting gears easy. The LED lights will come in handy when you’re still riding after dark thanks to the bike’s great gas mileage and 3-gallon fuel tank.

The soft seat on the Rebel is only 690 mm (27.2 in) high, which makes it easy for most riders to stop with both feet flat on the ground. Honda’s high quality means that riders of all sizes can feel comfortable in the saddle, no matter what size they are.

Updates for 2023

For the 2023 model year, there are no major changes to the Rebel. Even the color choices haven’t changed. The bike is still available in Pearl Blue and Matte Gray Metallic.

Powertrain: Engine, Transmission, and Performance

The 286cc single-cylinder engine in a Honda is easy to use and fun. It revs quickly and is fun to push to its limits. It is also very forgiving because it doesn’t threaten to stall when an inexperienced rider shifts into too high of a gear. This is great for beginners who are still learning how the powerband works.

Power Of Honda Rebel 300 Hamari wheels

Thanks to a well-made assist and slipper clutch, pulling on the clutch is easy, and your hands won’t get tired. The Rebel’s six-speed transmission changes gears smoothly and doesn’t get stuck in false neutrals, so shifting is easy.

With 25 horsepower, the engine can get the bike up to freeway speed quickly and keep it there for a long time. The Rebel can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 7.85 seconds, which means riders can even beat some cars at a stoplight.

Handling

The Rebel has a low center of gravity, which makes it easy to handle both tight city streets and the occasional trip into the hills. Its chassis is also very well put together.

Handling Of Honda Rebel 300

When making tight turns, the 41mm telescopic fork and dual shocks give decently sporty feedback. Small bump compliance is good for smoothing out small flaws in the road, but Cycle World found that larger bumps will cause the rear shocks to bottom out. This is still a bike for slow, easy rides that are good for people who are just getting started with riding.

Brakes

Front and back, single 296mm and 240mm discs are held in place by hydraulic calipers made by Nissin. Cycle World tested the brakes on the 2021 model and found that it could stop from 30 to 0 mph in 35.27 feet and from 60 to 0 mph in 141.3 feet, which was better than the competition.

More specifically, the Rebel took 17.48 feet, or the length of an average SUV, less time to stop from 60 mph to 0 mph than the Royal Enfield Meteor 350. With less distance to stop, riders have more time to react when traffic stops suddenly, which is especially helpful for new riders.

And a squeeze of the lever or a press of the pedal gives great brake feedback, so riders can know what’s going on and apply pressure as needed.

Ergonomics: Comfort and Utility

The low seat height of the Rebel platform is well-known. With a height of only 27.3 inches from the ground, the seat is very low and easy for riders of all heights to sit on.

This is great for shorter riders who might feel scared by the size of a bike. People with legs longer than 31 inches will have a little less leg room, but they will still be able to reach the bars with ease.

Electronics

The electronics on this bike are pretty simple. A circular LCD gauge shows information in a way that is easy to read, and all-LED lighting gives off clear, bright light that makes it easy to see.

ABS models add an extra layer of safety when stopping in bad weather, but they don’t have any other riding aids or modes.

2023 Honda Rebel 300 Features

1:STYLE

BLACKED-OUT STYLE

The Rebel is a blank slate for you to express yourself and make it your own. But this canvas isn’t plain white like the ones you can buy at an art store. The blacked-out parts of its engine, frame, and bodywork look great during the day and even better at night.

BLACKED-OUT MUFFLER

Don’t bother polishing chrome, because the Rebel’s blacked-out exhaust system looks great with the rest of the bike. And perhaps the best part? The cool sound that is such an important part of riding.

Classic shape of an instrument

The Rebel’s instruments are another iconic part that combines old and new. They have a classic shape, but they are filled with completely up-to-date digital LCD information.

ROUND HEADLIGHT

The headlight is another important part of a motorcycle’s design. The Rebel 300 has a round, three-inch nacelle that holds the headlight. This gives the bike a lot of personality.

ALL LED LIGHTING PACKAGE

LED lights are the way to go right now. LEDs can be smaller, lighter, and brighter than incandescent bulbs, and they need to be replaced less often. Because of this, the Rebel 300’s headlight, taillight, turn signals, and license plate light are all made of LEDs.

CHOICES OF COLOR

Check out Candy Diesel Red or Matte Black Metallic, two bright colors you could wear.

OPTIONAL Honda ACCESSORIES

There are many accessories for the Rebel 300 that you can use to make it your own. Check out the diamond-stitched main seat, a backrest, saddlebags and a carrier, passenger seat with footpegs kit, backrest, and so much more.

STEEL REAR FENDER

The Rebel’s rear fender is made of steel and is the same color as the tank. The paint looks great, and the steel fender helps give the optional, removable passenger seat a strong base.

WIDE FORK

When it comes to style, what’s in front is what matters most, and the Rebel nails it. The front suspension makes the bike easy to steer and comfortable to ride, but the fat fork tubes also give it a strong look. We tweaked the fork last year to make it even more comfortable and better at what it does, and everyone loves the result.

REFINED REAR SUSPENSION

The rear shocks of the Rebel 300 are filled with nitrogen and have a different spring rate. Just like the front suspension, this is about making your ride more comfortable and better.

WIDE TIRES FRONT AND BACK

The Rebel’s low, fat rear tire gives you a lot of grip and makes the bike’s seat height and overall stance lower. The wide front tire not only looks great, but it also helps the bike handle better and stop better. Plus, the wide profile goes well with the look of the back tire.

2:COMFORT

LOW SEAT HEIGHT

Almost everyone likes their seats to be lower, and the Rebel has one of the lowest seats on the market. It’s comfortable to ride, and it’s easier to walk when you’re stopped at a light or in a parking lot.

LIGHT WEIGHT

The Rebel 300 is a lot more fun and easy to ride than some of the bigger machines. It’s a great choice if you’re just starting out or want a quick bike. The low center of gravity and light weight also help with performance.
