2024 Honda Ridgeline Prices, Reviews, and Specification

Honda has already said it will make a 2024 Honda Ridgeline Trail Sport, but it looks like the company is also planning a facelift.

Now, in the present day, spy cameras have caught the 2024 Ridgeline being tested. But it might not be the Trail Sport version because the prototype doesn’t scream “off-road pickup!”

Honda has said before that the Trail Sport trim will improve the truck’s “rugged capability and design.” This is important to remember. As part of this effort, the model is expected to follow in the footsteps of the Pilot Trail Sport and get a 1-inch (25 mm) lift, unique stabilizer bars, different spring rates, and special damper tuning.

SUVs that can only go on the road but look like they can go off-road are all the rage right now, and Honda’s old TrailSport models were some of the worst offenders. But the new 2023 Pilot TrailSport goes beyond the “off-road in name only” trend by adding more ground clearance, all-terrain tires, skid plates, and changes to the suspension.

Honda told the media at a briefing that both the mid-size Passport SUV and the Ridgeline pickup truck are set to get a tough set of changes for the 2024 model year.

What is new with the 2024 Honda Ridgeline?

What is new with the 2024 Honda Ridgeline?

The third generation could start with the 2024 Honda Ridgeline, which could get a new look. This means that it could get a new, modern look on the outside. It could have new LED lights, a bigger grille, and an updated front bumper.

It should look more rugged and sure of itself so it can compete better with other cars. The back of the car could get new taillights and a better bumper. New designs for the wheels will finish off the look.

If the 2024 Honda Ridgeline Trail Sport comes out, the more off-road capable truck could have a suspension lift, alloy tires, big all-terrain tires, tow hooks, and protective skid plates.

But the 2024 honda Ridgeline is still expected to have all-wheel drive and a unibody suspension instead of a traditional body-on-frame design with four-wheel drive. Even though AWD limits how far the suspension can move, it is still very capable.

Trail cameras, hill descent control, hill start assist, an improved AWD system, and more off-roading modes may also be added.

Will the inside of the 2024 Honda Ridgeline be better?

Will the inside of the 2024 Ridgeline be better?

Yes, the 2024 Honda Ridgeline interior will be updated, more modern, and made of better materials. Plastics and hard materials could be swapped out for more durable and attractive materials like real wood and materials with a soft feel.

The Ridgeline has been giving hints about rugged upgrades and desert racing, so it’s possible that new, durable materials could be added. Rubber mats that work in any weather could protect the inside.

The 8.0-inch touchscreen could be replaced by a bigger unit, and it’s likely that the digital gauge cluster will also be updated. Even the head-up display could be better. Also, we hope that Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be made available wirelessly.

So far, only spy photos of the new Ridgeline with camouflage on it have been taken. But we do know that something new is coming, and it might be better.

How fast will the Ridgeline 2024 be?

The engine in the 2024 Honda Ridgeline could be changed. The current engine is a V6 with a 3.5-liter displacement and 280 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. It has an automatic transmission with nine speeds and can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about 6.3 seconds.

But it can only pull up to 5,000 pounds and carry 1,583 pounds. The payload capacity is pretty good, but competitors can pull more. To get more respect, it needs to get closer to 7,000 pounds.

There have been rumors that there will be a new 2024 Honda Ridgeline Hybrid. But Car and Driver says that’s not going to happen just yet. Honda reportedly said that neither the Ridgeline nor the Pilot will have a gas-electric powertrain by 2024.

But it might get the new 3.5-liter V6 engine with some big improvements. It went from having a single overhead cam to having two. Also got a better fuel delivery system, new internals, and better packaging.

It will come with an automatic transmission with 10 speeds. The new engine could be faster and have more power. At the moment, the EPA says that the Ridgeline gets up to 18 mpg in the city and up to 24 mpg on the highway.

Details about how it works

The 2024 Honda Ridgeline has a 3.5-liter V6 engine and an automatic transmission with nine speeds. With 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, it is strong and quick, and can pull up to 5000 pounds behind the Ridgeline.

The Ridgeline is different from most pickup trucks because it is built on the same platform as Honda’s crossovers. It drives more like a comfortable crossover than a typical pick-up truck because of this. No matter how full or empty it is, the ride over bumpy roads is smooth and easy.

The Ridgeline is also different from other pickup trucks in that it only comes with all-wheel drive. As is the case with many all-wheel-drive trucks, this means that the Ridgeline gets 18 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway.

Fashion and new tools

From the front, the Ridgeline doesn’t look like a pickup truck. Instead, it looks just like the other Honda SUVs. From the side, you can see that the long cabin gives way to a short pick-up truck bed, but the lines and proportions are still SUV-like. The trunk has 33.9 cubic feet of space, which is about what you’d expect for a car in this class.

If you want more space, a full-size pick-up truck might be a better choice. The trunk in the bed is lockable and has 7.3 cubic feet of space, which is more than you can store in the cabin. The dual-action tailgate makes the bed easy to use.

Inside the Ridgeline’s cabin, there is a lot of room. The double cab is the only option, and it has the same SUV-like size. The second row has 38.8 inches of headroom and 36.7 inches of legroom. Even on longer trips, this is enough for most people.

Inside the Ridgeline’s cabin, there is 2.9 cubic feet of storage space under the second row of seats. A standard remote-control start is a great convenience feature, and a standard tri-zone automatic climate control system is a great comfort feature.

On the tech side, the standard infotainment system has an 8-inch touch screen and works with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM. Hands-Free phone and Bluetooth audio streaming come as standard.

You can choose between a 215-Watt audio system with 7 speakers or a 540-Watt Premium audio system with 8 speakers and a subwoofer, which is also available.

This also comes with a sound system for the truck bed and wireless phone charging that works with Qi.

Safety Features

Honda is one of the best car brands on the market when it comes to safety features. The Honda Sensing suite of safety and driver-assist technologies is the best in the business, and every Ridgeline comes with it as standard.

This package includes the Collision Mitigation Braking System, the Road Departure Mitigation System, the Lane Keeping Assist System, the Lane Departure Warning, and the Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow and Forward Collision Warning.

All models except the base one come with a standard Blind Spot Information System (BSI) with Cross Traffic Monitor. The top two trim levels also come with standard auto high-beam headlights.

Trim Levels

Even though the 2024 Honda Ridgeline only comes in four trims, it has a lot of packages that let you customize it for everything from work to towing in style.

All of the above standard features, like proximity keyless entry and a universal garage door opener, come with the base Sport trim. The cabin comes with cloth upholstery as standard and has a lot of hard, easy-to-clean surfaces. Two USB ports are standard, so you can charge your device and connect your media.

At the RTL trim level, you get most of the features that make a great car. This includes up-to-date leather seats that are heated up front. The driver’s seat can be adjusted in 10 different ways, and the passenger’s seat can be adjusted in 4 different ways. The driver’s seat also has settings that can be saved.

Inside, a leather-wrapped steering wheel adds a touch of class. With a standard moonroof and a power-sliding rear window, you can let more light into the cabin. At this level, blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert are built in.
